Wine brand Isla Negra has launched a redesign for the brand which includes a significant reduction in the weight of its bottles.

Previously weighing in at 390g per bottle, the new packaging is 45g lighter – leading to carbon emissions savings.

As well as the environmental changes, the front of the new-look labels will feature tasting notes to help consumers with their selection.

Heather Jones, senior brand manager for Isla Negra in the UK, said: “We’re pleased with the clean and simple lines of the new label, and with the opportunity to move to a lighter-weight bottle. At our current rate of sale, this will represent over 9000 kilos of glass not produced each year.”
